Dr. Tyagi believes that it takes more than clinical skill to provide excellent dentistry. That’s why in addition to being a prosthodontic specialist, he has tailored his Dallas dental practice so he’s able to give every patient the individual attention they deserve. He only sees people one at a time and always thoroughly explains someone’s treatment options rather than simply telling them what they need. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dallas Texas dentist Doctor Gaurav Tyagi

Dr. Tyagi knew he wanted to become a dentist while still in high school. One day, he ended up going to the dentist with his mother, and at this appointment, he saw for the first time just how nuanced the field of dentistry is. What piqued his interest was how the dentist could positively affect a patient’s life in so many ways just by taking care of their oral health. He knew it was the path for him, and it has brought him to where he is today.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Tyagi obtained his dental degree from the University of California San Francisco in 2012, and he went on to practice general dentistry in Dallas for seven years. He then completed a three-year residency program in prosthodontics at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. This certifies him as a highly skilled professional trained to provide full mouth rehabilitations, dental implants, and smile makeovers while perfectly balancing esthetics and function. Prosthodontists also routinely lead teams of doctors when a patient requires more complex care, essentially serving as the “quarterback” to ensure the best possible result and experience.

Always learning and striving to get better, Dr. Tyagi is an active member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Prosthodontics.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When he isn’t at the office, Dr. Tyagi loves spending time with his wife (also a dentist!) and dog, running Spartan races, cooking, traveling, and trying new cuisines. He is an avid football fan and loves the Dallas Cowboys.
