Pictures speak louder than words. This gallery displays procedures routinely performed
by Dr. Walton.
As we go through life, our teeth change. Through constant use, our biting edges of our front teeth wear down causing the tooth to become shorter. They also wear unevenly, causing the biting edge of the front teeth to be uneven. Our teeth stain and old fillings discolor. Our gingival (gum tissue) recedes resulting in "black triangles", the dark spaces between the teeth at the gum line. All this can be corrected, giving you a beautiful, youthful smile.

Amalgam (metal) fillings have been around for over 100 years and are a material of the past. Invisible restorations can be accomplished with Composites or Porcelains. This patient had amalgam fillings placed when she was a child. With time, the fillings have oxidized and turned dark resulting in an unpleasant appearance. The amalgam fillings were removed and replaced with direct composite fillings resulting in a much more pleasing appearance.

This patient had old Composite Veneers placed in another office some years prior. As you can see, the shade is incorrect, the surface texture and luster is absent and there is decay (the dark spots). The old veneers were removed and two new veneers were placed.
The six upper teeth are chipped, rotated, discolored and misaligned. Six ceramic veneers were placed.
Correcting discolored teeth can brighten the entire smile.
A "gummy" smile is an unattractive smile. Dr. Walton is trained to correct this problem. In this case, the gingival (gums) were raised utilizing a plastic surgery procedure so that the gum line is in harmony with the upper lip. The teeth were subsequently crowned with ceramic crowns. Note how the biting edge of the lower teeth are in harmony with the lower lip. The two procedures produce a most enticing smile.

This does not damage the teeth! It can be subtle or more aggressive depending on the patients desires.

You no longer have to live with a dull, yellow smile. Your teeth can be bleached to create a dramatic change in appearance.

Gaps between teeth can be easily closed with direct composites or ceramic veneers.
Patients frequently complain of sensitive teeth. Sensitivity is often the result of gingival (gum) recession that expose the root of the tooth. In this case the root is exposed and the root surface has eroded resulting in very sensitive teeth. This problem can be corrected by either grafting the gum tissue so that it will cover the root or place a filling to cover the eroded area. In this instance, the patient elected to have fillings placed on all three teeth. After placement of the fillings, the patient was totally free of tooth sensitivity.
